‘Patuakhali badly affected by cyclone Bulbul’

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Enamur Rahman has said Patuakhali is the most affected area among the coastal districts as cyclone Bulbul hit Bangladesh coastline.

"About four to five thousand homes have been damaged by the cyclone in Patukhali. The deaths of two people has been confirmed in Patukahali and Khulna," Dr Enamur has said in a press conference today.

He also said that the ministry sent relief to 14 coastal districts as advance initiative.

"We will take next steps after determining the losses," the minister added.

He also emphasised on taking inter-ministry initiative for the protection of Sundarbans.
