London-returnee woman dies in corona isolation in Sylhet

A London-returnee Bangladeshi female expatriate has died at the coronavirus isolation ward of Shahid Shamsuddin Ahmed Medical Hospital in Sylhet early today.
The women, aged around 60, returned from England on March 4.
Sylhet Civil Surgeon Dr Premanondo Mondol said, "The patient was admitted at the hospital with fever, cough and cold relates issues few days ago. A team of Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research was scheduled to arrive here today to collect her sample for coronavirus test."
"Yet her sample will be collected for testing to be confirmed whether she died from coronavirus," the Civil Surgeon added.
Dr Sukanto Mohapatro, a physician of the hospital said, "She came to the hospital with fever, cough and breathing problem on Friday. Doctors kept her in isolation as her situation remain unchanged."
Bangladesh reported its second death from coronavirus on Saturday and first death on March 18. The number of coronavirus infected patients is now 24 in the country.
