Hungary approves new Chinese vaccine, and Covishield for emergency use

Hungary's surgeon general on Monday said the central European country had approved for emergency use two new coronavirus vaccines, one from China's CanSino Biologics, and CoviShield, the Indian version of the AstraZeneca shot.

If both are approved for mass use also by the National Health Centre, Hungary will have seven sources to procure vaccines from. It was unclear when and in what quantity Hungary planned to deploy the two newly authorised vaccines.
