Woman dies in coronavirus isolation unit in Chattogram

A woman has died at the institutional quarantine unit of isolation ward at Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) of Chattogram on Tuesday night.

BITID Director MA Hasan said, "The woman was taken to the hospital from Chattogram Medical College Hospital on Tuesday morning. She came to the hospital with asthma. She also had diabetes."

"We kept her in the isolation unit and collected her samples after seeing coronavirus symptoms, but she died around 9pm", he added.
