US-Bangla repatriated 151 Bangladeshis stranded in Malaysia

A special flight of US-Bangla Airlines has brought back students, tourists and Bangladeshi nationals stranded in Malaysia due to the outbreak of coronavirus. 

Today it flew from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Dhaka at 3:50 pm local time with 151 passengers and landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 5:40 pm. Earlier, a US-Bangla special flight took back 43 Malaysian nationals and permanently expatriate Bangladeshis from Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur at 8.50 am today.

US-Bangla Airlines has operated the special flight on the Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur-Dhaka route in collaboration with the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the Malaysian Embassy in Bangladesh.

Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, many Bangladeshis have been stranded in different provinces of Malaysia for more than three months. US-Bangla Airlines has extended a helping hand to bring back Bangladeshi passengers from Malaysia through the mediation of Bangladesh and Malaysian governments.
