The official and his family members tested Covid-19 positive on May 5
Abdul Wadud, chief operating officer (COO) of one of the leading apparel exporters of the country, died from Covid-19 on Tuesday night.
Team Group COO Wadud and his family members tested Covid-19 positive on May 5. He contracted the virus from his driver.
The official, his family members, and driver were admitted to Uttara's Regent Hospital.
Wadud's family members and driver were released on Tuesday as all of them tested Covid-19 negative.
Confirming the issue to The Business Standard, Team Group Managing Director Abdullah Hil Rakib said, "Abdul Wadud died last night while undergoing treatment at the Regent Hospital."
