TK Group of Industries, the country's leading industrial group, has donated 20 ventilators – artificial respirators – to five hospitals in Chattogram.

Mohammad Mofassel Haque, Director (Marketing) of TK Group of industries, handed over the medical supplies to Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ilias Hossain on Friday afternoon.

Of those, 10 ventilators were given to Chattogram Medical College Hospital; three, each, were given to Chattogram General Hospital and Chattogram Field Hospital; plus two, each, were given to Surgiscope Hospital and Parkview Hospital in the port city.

At the handover ceremony, TK Group Director (Marketing) Mohammad Mofassel Haque told The Business Standard that although the number of Covid-19 patients is increasing daily in Chattogram, the medical facilities are not increasing at the same pace. Even many critical patients are not getting proper treatment due to a lack of required facilities.

''As part of its social responsibility, TK Group has provided these medical items. I hope the people of Chattogram will benefit from these medical supplies,'' Mofassel Haque said.

TK Group, a Chattogram-based industrial group, has businesses in various sectors including consumer goods.
