State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam has provided safety equipment to the physicians, nurses and healthcare workers engaged in Covid-19 patients' treatment in Rajshahi on his own initiative.

A total of 3,000 disposable surgical masks, 600 N-95 masks, 300 protective aprons, 100 personal protective equipment (PPE), 200 pairs of hand gloves, 200 protective goggles, 200 face shields and 80 thermometers were handed over to Rajshahi city Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Lawmaker of Rajshahi Sadar constituency Fazle Hossain Badshah and the civil surgeon of the district on Friday and Saturday.  

Shariar had personally brought the equipment from China.

Earlier, the state minister provided 50,000 masks and hand sanitizer to the people of Bagha-Charghat, which is his own constituency, and the adjacent upazilas. Besides, he had distributed the government relief and vegetables among the residents of Charghat and Bagha over the last five days. He had also given PPE to the administrative officials and local public representatives.
