On 8 November, the Directorate General of Drug Administration authorised emergency production and marketing of molnupiravir

Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd has rolled out world's first oral antiviral drug for Covid treatment, Molnupiravir, which will be marketed under the brand name Molvir.

On 11 November, Square Pharmaceuticals' Director (supply chain management) Eric S Chowdhury officially launched the medicine, that was recently developed by American pharmaceutical Merck, Sharp & Dohme (MSD) and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics.

General Manager (marketing) of Square Pharmaceuticals Md Atikuzzaman presented scientific information of Molvir at the event, moderated by Director (marketing) Ahmed Kamrul Alam.

Among others, General Manager (sales) Mahmudur Rahman Bhuiyan was present in the event.

Earlier on 8 November, the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) authorised emergency production and marketing of molnupiravir.
