Shakib Al Hasan’s mother tests positive for coronavirus

She tested positive for the virus on Thursday

Shirin Reza, mother of cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, has tested positive for coronavirus and is currently in isolation at their home in Keshob Moore in Magura town.

Magura district Civil Surgeon Dr Pradip Kumar Saha said that the cricketer's mother started showing symptoms of the virus and had fever. Under these circumstances her swab samples were collected and sent to the Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) genome center for testing.

Later on Thursday her reports came positive for the virus and she was put in isolation.

Earlier on July 19, Shakib's father, Mashrur Reza Kutil, also tested positive for the virus and is in isolation in their Magura home as well. Both Mashrur and Shirin are in good health despite testing positive for the virus.

Dr Pradip also said "Nine new coronavirus patients were found in Magura on Thursday."

 "A total of 355 people of the district have been infected by the virus so far, and among them 175 have recovered," added Dr Pradip

Eight people in total have lost their lives to the Covid-19 infection in Magura so far.
