To prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the Saif Powertec Limited is continuing container handling at the Chattogram port with special safety measures.

The company, in this regard, is providing workers with transport facilities, and sanitization equipment at workplaces. 

Along with maintaining social distancing, the company also has a standby medical team for providing healthcare service for workers.

Besides, from the corporate social responsibility, the listed company also distributed food among temporary workers, who were working at the Numuring Container Terminal (NCT) and Chottogram Container Terminal (CCT) at the country's main seaport.

Chattogram Port Authority member (administration and planning) Md Zafar Alam last week distributed relief goods among workers while Chief Operating Officer of SaifPowertec Limited Captain Tanvir Hossain, Lieutenant Commander (Ret) Tafsir and others were present there.

Captain Tanvir Hossain said in a statement that they have already distributed relief goods among more than two thousand temporary workers.
