Saif Powertec Limited has provided medical equipment to the isolation centre of the Chattogram port to support people amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.

It has given four ventilators and four oxygen measuring devices to the isolation center.

"Saif Powertec Limited Managing Director Tarafdar Mohammad Ruhul Amin handed over the equipment to Chattogram Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad on Sunday afternoon," Saiful Alam Babu, an official of the company told The Business Standard.

Senior officials of the port and Saif Powertec were also present at that time.

"The ventilators have been provided for the intensive care unit (ICU) so that the patients in critical condition will get proper treatment, "said Ruhul Amin.

Saif Powertec is working as the berth/terminal operator for operation of Chattogram Container Terminal and New Mooring Container Terminal of Chattogram Port Authority.
