Renowned dentist Ratan dies with Covid-19 symptoms

Dr Syed Tamizul Ahsan Ratan, renowned dentist and founder of Ratan's Dental, has died with Covid-19 symptoms. He was 63.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital at 6.30 am today.
Sardar A Nayem, founder chairman of the hospital, said Dr Ratan had been suffering from fever since May 31 and receiving treatment staying at home.
"Later, Dr Ratan was taken to Birdem Hospital as his condition deteriorated. He was then admitted to Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital on Sunday night," he said.
He was shifted to the hospital's ICU when his condition deteriorated further.
His Covid-19 test report is yet to come.
Dr Ratan was the 14th batch student of Dhaka Dental College.
According to the Bangladesh Medical Association, 57 doctors have so far died from Covid-19 and with the virus-like symptoms in the country. Of them, 50 were Covid-19 positive, and seven had symptoms.
