Relative of Ctg's first coronavirus patient tests negative
A relative of the first coronavirus patient of Chattogram has been tested negative. The relative, who is male and aged more than 60, is currently living under quarantine in Chattogram's Patia upazila.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Mohammad Jabed has confirmed the matter.
Meanwhile, no new patients were tested positive for coronavirus in Chattogram in the last 24 hours, said Chattogram Civil Surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi.
He told The Business Standard that the Upazila Health Complex collected a sample from the relative of the infected patient and sent it by ambulance to Chittagong Faujdarhat BITID on Monday for testing.
He said that the sample tested negative for Covid-19.
After the first coronavirus case was detected in the Patiya Municipality area, the local administration on Saturday asked the other relatives of the infected person to stay under quarantine.
