PSC recommends recruitment of 2,000 doctors, 5,054 nurses

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has recommended recruitment of 2,000 assistant surgeons and 5,054 senior staff nurses to join the frontline fight against the novel coronavirus.

The doctors will be recruited from the non-cadre list of the 39th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) and the nurses will be recruited from the waiting list of senior staff nurse recruitment examination, said PSC Public Relations Officer Esrat Sharmin.

Many doctors and nurses have tested positive with the virus and many are in quarantine. In this circumstances, the premier has instructed us to appoint more doctors and nurses.
