Police members are working across Dhaka to check if public transports and markets are following the government's health guidelines.

Also, they are instructing the commoners to follow hygiene rules.

A police team led by Bangshal police station Officer-In-Charge (OC) Shaheen Fakir went to different markets and Fulbaria Bus Stand on Monday.

While monitoring the spots, at that time, they broadcast health guidelines over loudspeakers.

"The shopkeepers were briefed in the presence of representatives of market owners' associations, including Nawabpur market, to ensure physical distancing at the markets," the OC said.

"Every storekeeper was also asked to use hand sanitiser and mask. Plus, an instruction was given to set up sterilisation tunnel at the entrance of the markets. Banners containing the government's health guidelines were displayed in the markets."

"The use of masks by drivers and helpers and the use of hand sanitisers by passengers were ensured at Fulbaria Bus Stand.

"Passengers were asked over loudspeakers to maintain physical distancing while travelling and to use a mask.

"Banners containing the government's health guidelines were hung on the vehicles and at the bus stand."
