Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) has given permission to Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (ROSATOM) to import the Russian Covid-19 vaccine "Sputnik-V".

DGDA on Thursday published a gazette notification giving no objection certificate (NOC) to the Russian organisation in this regard.

The NOC said that the ROSATOM can import 1,000 vaccines for the Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian employees of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant.

The notification said that the DGDA will not be held responsible if any side effects occur after using the vaccine. It also said the issued NOC will be valid for six months from the date of issue.
