One dies in coronavirus isolation in Barishal hospital

The relatives of the deceased did not disclose information about his Covid-19 symptoms to doctors

A 25-year-old man died in the coronavirus isolation unit of Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital (SBMCH) in Barishal on Sunday afternoon.

He was a resident from Mehendiganj upazila of the district, said the hospital authorities.

The director of SBMCH, Dr SM Bakir Hossain, said the relatives of the deceased did not disclose the information about his Covid-19 symptoms to doctors.

When doctors suspected seeing his health condition, they sent the patient to the coronavirus isolation ward. His health started deteriorating from Sunday morning, and he died at around 5:30pm today," Dr Bakir added. 

Samples have been collected from the body and have been sent to the medical college's RT-PCR lab for testing.
