A group, with bad intentions, made an old video viral on social media which was issued by the government on 23 March last year, read a government notification.

The government, in a notice, has made it clear that no decision has been taken on fresh lockdown or public holidays. 

"The government is clearly informing that it has not taken any decision about lockdown or public holidays in the wake of fresh surge in coronavirus cases in the country," reads a notification the Press Information Department issued on Monday. 

The statement also said that a group, with bad intentions, made an old video viral on social media which was issued by the government on 23 March last year. 

The government will take stern action against those who are involved in disseminating such untrue and confusing information, the statement warned.
