More than 200 Bangladeshis are stranded in India's Tamil Nadu state due to a 21-day nationwide lockdown declared by the government to contain COVID-19 outbreak.

"All of them are workers and hailed from different places of Satkhira," said deputy commissioner of Satkhira SM Mostafa Kamal.

Steps will be taken regarding the matter after talking with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he added.

They are stranded at Premtura village of the state, reported our correspondent.
