More than 13,000 Covid-19 cases in Chattogram

In the last 24 hours, two people have died in Chattogram and 40 more have recovered from the virus

The number of Covid-19 cases in Chattogram has crossed 13,000. The total number of infected in Chattogram is now 13,065. In the last 24 hours, some 1,115 samples were tested and 138 came out positive.

A report released by the Civil Surgeon's Office on Monday night revealed all this information.

Chattogram Civil Surgeon, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, said, "In the last 24 hours, 138 people were found to have coronavirus infection. Among the new victims, 89 are from the city and 49 are from the upazilas. In the last 24 hours, two people have died in Chattogram and 40 more have recovered from the virus."

According to the Civil Surgeon's Office, 30 out of 106 samples tested in Chattogram University lab, and 20 out of 185 samples tested in Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) came out positive.

On the other hand, 32 out of 203 samples tested in Chattogram Medical College Lab, and three out of 153 samples tested in Chattogram Veterinary University were detected positive for coronavirus.

Also, four out of 31 samples tested in Cox's Bazar Medical College, 22 out of 334 samples tested in Imperial Hospital, and 27 out of 103 samples tested in the Chevron Lab came out positive.
