The fund will be used to buy oxygen cylinders for coronavirus patients at the hospital

US-based charity organisation Meah Family Foundation (MFF) has donated $11,250 to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for treatment of Covid-19 patients.

The fund will be used to buy oxygen cylinders for coronavirus patients at the hospital, said a press release on Wednesday.

MFF handed over the money to Chittagong Medical College Alumni of North America (CMCNA). They will deliver the oxygen cylinders to Chittagong Medical College, the press release added.

Keeping pace with the surge in number of Covid-19 patients, the crisis for oxygen cylinders has increased in Chittagong. Since the price of oxygen cylinders is also on the rise, not all the patients can afford them anymore.

However, poor patients at the CMCH are suffering more due to oxygen crisis and the rise in prices.

In this context, the Meah Family Foundation has lent its hand to help poor patients.
