Two people including a child, who were being treated in corona suspect isolation unit of Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMC) at Khulna, died on Friday.
Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Dr Shailendranath Bishwas, residential doctor (medicine) and focal person of the corona unit, said the deceased were 24 and 10 years old.
"The 24-year-old patient got admitted at 9:30 am on Friday and died around 10:30 am. He was an asthma patient and died of respiratory problems," he added.
The 10-year-old child got admitted in the early morning and died at 12:30 pm. He was suffering from respiratory problems too, he further informed.
Their samples have been collected for testing.
