KSRM provides PPE to media workers in Chattogram

Steel manufacturer KSRM provided personal protective equipment (PPE) to media workers in Chattogram on Wednesday. KSRM Media Advisor Mizanul Islam handed over the PPE to Nasir Uddin Tota, president of the TV Journalists' Association.

Mizanul Islam said, "KSRM always comes forward when the country and its people face a problem. In continuation of that, after coming forward for doctors and health workers, KSRM is now supporting the health and safety of journalists."

"Journalists have to serve the news even amidst war or disaster. The whole world has stopped because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. However, journalists are still working to show us the situation every moment. The Deputy Managing Director of KSRM, Shahriar Jahan, has taken this into consideration and given the journalists PPE," he added.

Nasir Uddin Tota, president of the TV Journalists' Association said, "No one can predict what the world will be like after the novel coronavirus pandemic. The situation is growing more dangerous by the day. However, journalists do not have the opportunity to stay put at home."

"KSRM is one of the few organizations that came forward to help us. KSRM has always come forward to help us in the past. We hope that we will have them beside us even in the future," Nasir Uddin Tota added.

General Secretary of the Chattogram Press Club, and TV Journalists' Association Vice President Farid Uddin Chowdhury, TV Journalists' Association Joint Secretary and Bureau Head of DBC news Masudul Haque, and many others, were present at the event.
