The acclaimed cultural activist and journalist Kamal Lohani was admitted to Health and Hope Hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday as he was suffering from kidney and lung infection

Eminent journalist and cultural activist Kamal Lohani has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Confirming about the infection today, Kamal Lohani's son, Sagar Lohani, sought cooperation over his father's admission to the Combined Military Hospital in the capital. 

The acclaimed cultural activist Kamal Lohani was admitted to Health and Hope Hospital at Panthapath in Dhaka on Wednesday morning. He was suffering from kidney and lung infection, along with other health problems. 

Earlier, he was hospitalised on May 17 and discharged from the hospital on June 2. He was well for a week and then his health condition again worsened, said Sagar Lohani.
