Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Mohammad JavedPatwari, BPM (Bar), addressed officers of various police units through a videoconference on tackling the coronavirus situation.

The videoconference began at the police headquarters on Sunday at 3.00 pm and lasted for two hours.

The IGP said that all places - those have been locked down to prevent transmission of Covid-19- must be properly maintained by staying in home and practising social distancing.

He also said police will continue to administer strict measures against domestic violence along with petty crimes which might be on the rise.

The IGP also congratulated the newly appointed IGP Benazir Ahmed, BPM (Bar), and said that under his leadership, Bangladesh Police will go a long way.
