All employees of the Health Ministry, including minister Zahid Maleque, will receive Covid-19 vaccine on 7 February.

The minister made the remark in a programme at a city hotel on Tuesday.

Mentioning that nationwide vaccination will begin from 7 February, Zahid Maleque urged all ministers, parliament members and secretaries to get vaccinated.

"This is the safest vaccine. We can't get rid of Covid-19 without the vaccine," he added.

The minister later urged the representatives of the local government and all countrymen to receive the vaccine. One can get register for vaccine at the vaccination centre.  

He further added that Covid vaccines have already reached to all the districts. More than 500 people had already been vaccinated and all of them are in good health condition.

Bangladesh has a plan to start countrywide vaccination from 8 February after a week of trial session.
