Hamdard donates Tk25 lakh to PM’s relief fund

Hamdard Laboratories (waqf) Bangladesh has recently donated Tk25 lakh to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund to help fight the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Kazi Golam Rahman, chairman of the entity and Dr Hakim Md Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan, its managing director, jointly handed over the donation cheque to Ahmad Kaikaus, principal secretary to Prime Minister, said a press release.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined the event through a video conference.

Apart from this, it is also continuing relief distribution programmes and free medical services among the virus-hit people in many parts of the country, the press release read.
