Chattogram's first doctor dies of Covid-19

So far, more than 70 doctors have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Chattogram

For the first time, a doctor named Ehsanul Karim has succumbed to the novel coronavirus in Chattogram.

The doctor died at Chattogram Medical College Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was also diagnosed with cancer. 

Ehsanul Karim was admitted to the hospital four days ago after being tested positive for Covid-19.

He was a former associate professor at the University of Science & Technology Chattogram (USTC) and a medicine specialist.

Dr ANM Minhazur Rahman, coordinator of the Chattogram chapter of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad confirmed the death of the doctor to The Business Standard. 

So far, more than 70 doctors in Chattogram have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
