“Both the Bangladesh embassies in the Middle East and the consulates of Middle Eastern countries in Bangladesh confirmed it through their respective foreign ministries”

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammed Shahriar Alam affirmed the anxious expatriates that they will not be terminated from their overseas jobs as they could not rejoin their works after enjoying leave due to pandemic lockdown and air connections cut.

"The holiday period and visa, for those who were visiting Bangladesh on holidays and could not return amid the pandemic lockdown, will be extended by the concerned governments," the state minister said in a Facebook post early Saturday.

"Both the Bangladesh embassies in the Middle East and the consulates of Middle Eastern countries in Bangladesh confirmed it through their respective foreign ministries", he added putting all speculations to rest.
