Kutubuddin Ahmed, the founder and chairman of the Sheltech and Envoy Group, has recovered from the novel coronavirus infection.
 
He tested negative in three tests on June 9, 10 and 12,  Sheltech Group Managing Director Tanvir Ahmed told The Business Standard.
 
Earlier on May 21, he was diagnosed positive for the novel coronavirus and was admitted to the Square Hospital in the capital.
 
Kutubuddin was recently awarded by the King of Spain as Knight Officer of the Spanish Royal Order of Merit.

Covid-19 infection among VIPs has become quite noticeable in Bangladesh with several ministers, former and incumbent lawmakers, top bureaucrats, businesspeople, and leading frontline healthcare officials having tested positive in the past few days.

Bangladesh today confirmed 38 more deaths from the novel coronavirus and 3,099 new cases of infection after testing15,038 samples in the last 24 hours.

With this, the death toll from the deadly virus rose to 1,209 and 90,619 people are infected across the country.
