East Rajabazar lockdown: 5 more test Covid-19 positive

The lockdown in East Rajabazar entered its fifth day on Sunday

Five more people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus amid lockdown in the East Rajabazar of Dhaka, bringing the total number of Covid-19 patients in that area to nine people.

On the first day of lockdown on June 10, samples from 15 people were collected, and four among them tested Covid-19 positive. On the second day, 16 people gave samples for the coronavirus test, and five among them tested positive.

The East Rajabazar lockdown entered its fifth day on Sunday. 

The matter was confirmed by the East Rajabazar control room and Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).

Non-government organisation BRAC and Dhaka North City Corporation jointly set up a coronavirus testing booth in East Rajabazar area on the first day of lockdown. The number of people giving samples to the booth for the Covid-19 test is increasing day by day.
