A doctor, 2 health workers test coronavirus positive in Barishal

Two more positive cases were found in the report which came on Tuesday night

The number of coronavirus infected patients rises to nine at Barishal as one female doctor from Agailjhara   upazila and two health workers from Babuganj upazila tested positive for the virus.

District Civil Surgeon Dr Monowar Hossain confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

"Some samples were collected and sent for test in Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College's Real-Time (RT) Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) lab. Two more positive cases were found in the report which came on Tuesday night," he also added.

Between these two new patients one is 55-years-old who died on Sunday and another is 23-years-old who is currently being treated in Hizla under institutional quarantine.
