DMP to ensure healthcare providers' entry to their homes

DMP Commissioner Mohmmad Shafiul Islam made the instructions after several news went viral on social media saying that healthcare providers are being harassed to stay their homes

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has directed all police stations to take necessary steps if healthcare service providers face any trouble in entering their homes after they return from their jobs every day.

DMP Commissioner Mohmmad Shafiul Islam made the instructions on Thursday night after several news went viral on social media saying that healthcare providers are being harassed to stay their homes.

Confirming the matter, Mofizur Rahman, assistant commissioner of DMP (Public Relations) told The Business Standard that the DMP commissioner also instructed police officials to make sure anyone suffering from Covid-19 or is showing symptoms similar to coronavirus can get treatment at home.

In the directives, the DMP chief said they will not accept it if neighbors, flat mates, landlords, bar doctors and nurses from entering their buildings after returning from work, who dedicated to treating Covid-19 patients.
