The committees will have to send weekly report to the ministry through their respective department every Thursday

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has formed 23 'Crisis Management Committees' across the country comprising field level officers of the Labour Office, Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments and owners of the factory to keep the labour situation normal during the COVID-19 crisis.

The committees will ensure timely payment of wages or salaries to the workers and employees. These committees will also conduct joint inspection to resolve any labor dissatisfaction through tripartite arbitration, an official release said.

If necessary, the committees can form sub-committees. The committees will have to send weekly report to the ministry through their respective department every Thursday.
