Covid-19: Total cases cross 2,000 in Chattogram

215 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 infection after testing 602 samples in four laboratories of Chattogram on Wednesday

The total number of coronavirus infected patients in Chattogram has crossed 2,000, with 215 new patients in the last 24 hours.

The number of the patients suffering from Covid-19 in Chattogram is now 2,200, according to the information released by Chattogram Civil Surgeon Office on Wednesday night.

215 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 infection after testing 602 samples in four laboratories of Chattogram on Wednesday.

Of them, 182 are from Chattogram city and the remaining 33 are from different upazilas.

"Of the 2,200 patients, 1,741 are from the port city while 459 people are from different upazilas," said Rabbi Sheikh Fazle, civil surgeon of the district.

A total of 61 people died from coronavirus infection in Chattogram till date.
