Covid-19: Daily infection rate drops to 15.07%

Coronavirus infection rate has fallen to 15.07% today in Bangladesh, thanks to the ongoing lockdown.

The infection rate started climbing up from the second week of March this year and rose to the highest 23.57% on 9 April.

As the Covid-19 took dangerous turn here, the government took a wise decision to impose lockdown from 5 April to curb the spread of the virus and apparently it worked. The infection rate has been declining here from 17 April. 

The country registered 4,280 new Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours till Wednesday morning. The total caseload stands at 7,32,060 now.

Meanwhile, 95 virus deaths were reported today, taking the tally to 10,683.
