The number of coronavirus patient is rising every day in Gazipur. So far, 332 people including more than one hundred doctors and health workers have been found positive for coronavirus in the district.

As the number of patients is on the rise, the district administration feels the need for maintaining proper safety measures while collecting samples for coronavirus test.

SM Tariqul Islam, deputy commissioner of Gazipur said both the technician who collects the samples and the person from whom the samples are collected are at risk of getting infected with the coronavirus so it is required to ensure proper safety measures during sample collection.

He went on to say, "Recently, a safer method was applied in India, which was also implemented by Mashrafe bin Mortaza in his area. We followed the method and have taken up the initiative to set up the safe booths."

"In this method, neither of the people involved has to come in contact with each other fully. So, the risks get lesser," he added.
