CDC asks to stop splashing disinfectants on human body

The Communicable Disease Control (CDC) unit of the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) has directed civil surgeons of the country to prevent all programmes of directly spraying harmful disinfectants on human body.

Calling for necessary steps, a press release signed by CDC Director Professor Dr Shahnila Ferdous reads, "Such activity does not comply with the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO)."

According to various sources, it has been reported that bleaching powder (Hypochlorite) is being used to disinfect when it is detrimental for sensitive external organs like human eyes and face.

The order was issued with the approval of DGHS Director Professor Dr Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad as the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) follows WHO pandemic guideline, the press release states.
