BSMMU doctor couple, children infected with Covid-19

Dr Mamun Al Mahtab, Chairman, Department of Hepatology, BSMMU and his wife Dr Nuzhat Choudhury, Associate Professor, Department of Opthalmology, a doctor couple along with their children have tested positive for Covid-19.

Their 14-year-old son studying in class eight has also been affected by Covid-19, confirmed Dr Mamun Al Mahtab.

"I have been suffering from coronavirus for the last four days, Nuzhat and our son have been suffering for three days," he said, adding, "We are at home, there is no problem."

Dr Mamun Al Mahtab said they did not show any symptoms of the virus, however, when they got tested as they had some problems, the result came back positive.

He asked for everyone to pray for him and his family.

Dr Nuzhat Choudhury is the daughter of martyr Dr AFM Alim Choudhury, an intellectual who was abducted and killed in 1971.
