After Dhaka, the highest number of deaths was reported in Chattogram division
Most of the people who died of Covid-19 in Bangladesh were from Dhaka. 48.58% of the deceased coronavirus patients were from the Dhaka city and Dhaka division, according to the health directorate.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 2,312 people have died of Covid-19 in Dhaka city and Dhaka division so far.
It is followed by 1,005 deaths (21.12%) in Chattogram division, 401 (8.43%) in Khulna division, 321 (6.75%) in Rajshahi division, 226 (4.75%) in Rangpur division, 212 (4.45%) in Sylhet division, 180 (3.78%) in Barishal division, and 102 (2.14%) in Mymensingh division.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh on Monday confirmed another 26 deaths from the novel coronavirus. The current Covid-19 death toll stands at 4,759 in the country, while the death rate stands at 1.40%, according to the press release issued by the DGHS.
In the last 24 hours till Monday 8am, 1,812 people tested positive for the virus. With this, the total number of infections in the country reached 339,332.
Of the dead patients, 22 were men and four were women. Moreover, 19 of them hailed from Dhaka, four from Chattogram, two from Rajshahi, and one from Rangpur division.
Twenty-five of them died in different hospitals, and one at his residence.
Some 13,847 samples were collected in the last 24 hours and 14,216 were tested in 94 labs across the country. So far, 1,742,696 samples have been tested.
Monday's infection rate was 12.75% of the total tests, though the overall rate in the country till date was 19.47%.
A total of 2,512 patients were declared free of the virus in the past 24 hours, and the total number of recoveries reached 243,155 while recovery rate was 71.66%.
The gender breakdown of Covid-19 victims showed that 3,708 were men and 1,051 were women.
