RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani confirmed the matter and said, "These people have died in the past 24 hours while undergoing treatment at the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU) and Covid-19 unit."

"Five of the eight latest victims hailed from Rajshahi and three from Chapainawabganj Chapainawabganj," he added.
