8 doctors, 15 nurses of NICVD test coronavirus positive

Eight doctors, 15 nurses, eight patients and six staff of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, hospital's Associate Professor Dr Kajal Kumar said, "After their test results came positive, hospital's cabin block and two wards have been put under lockdown."

According to the data provided by Bangladesh Doctor's Foundation, some 422 doctors have been infected with the virus till date in the country.

The Health Directorate today reported a record daily spike of 549 coronavirus cases and three deaths. With this, the death toll from the deadly virus rises to 155 and the number of total infected person stands at 6,462 .
