A total of 116 staff members are under treatment and in isolation. So far 139 employees have recovered from the virus.

Two hundred and sixty employees of the agriculture ministry have tested positive for the novel coronavirus so far, out of which five have died of the infection, said a press release.

The Ministry of Agriculture is working relentlessly to address the potential food crisis due to the Covid-19, following the prime minister's directive, "Not even an inch of land should remain uncultivated", it also reads. 

Earlier Agriculture Minister Mohammad Abdur Razzak instructed employees of the ministry to work in agriculture even if it is risky, just as health workers and law enforcers are working from the frontline, the press release further said.
