About 3,778 people were tested in Rangpur Medical College till Monday and 176 of them were found positive for the coronavirus

Rangpur Medical College (RMC) reported 16 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Monday. Among the freshly diagnosed patients, there were six police personnel.

About 3,778 people were tested in Rangpur Medical College till Monday and 176 of them were found positive for the coronavirus. Sixty-nine of those coronavirus patients hail from Rangpur, while the others are from various parts of the country.

RMC Principal Dr AKM Nur-Un-Nabi Lyzu said 188 samples were tested in his college on Monday and 16 of those were tested positive for the coronavirus. Fifteen of the freshly diagnosed patients are residents of Rangpur district. Among them, six are police members from Rangpur Police Lines and two are nurses of the RMC. 

The remaining one who tested positive for the coronavirus on the day is from Lalmonirhat district, he added.
