109 Narayanganj-returnees quarantined in Barguna

The Barguna administration source informed that to stop entering secretly into the district, police and Navy are always vigilant

Local administration has put 109 people, including women and children, under quarantine at a Amtali cyclone centre in Barguna early Thursday as they came from coronavirus hotspot Narayanganj.  

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Officer-in-Charge of Amtali Police Station Md Shah Alam said, "The people are residents of different places in Barguna. We put them under quarantine after being informed by the locals."

Barguna Deputy Commissioner Mostain Billah said, "They will be released after 14 days if they remain healthy."

The Barguna administration source informed that to stop entering secretly into the district, police and Navy are always vigilant on roads and waterways respectively.
