1 dead, 2 test coronavirus positive in Chattogram

Till date, three people have died from coronavirus infection and sixteen are infected in Chattogram

Two more coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Chattogram after the samples of 104 people were tested on April 12 at Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) in Foujdarhat .

Later around 10:30pm, a woman from the city's Sarail area died at the isolation ward of Chattogram General Hospital, Dr Hasan Shahriar Kabir, divisional director of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) told The Business Standard.

"The sample collected from the victim, who was admitted to the hospital with shortness of breath in the morning, tested positive for Covid-19," Dr Hasan said.

Earlier the same day, a disabled child died at the isolation unit in Patiya upazila.

Till date, three people have died from coronavirus infection and sixteen are infected in Chattogram.
