Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) has opened a 'Flu Corner' for cold-related disease patients to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) among others.

The hospital's Director ATM Monjur Morshed on Monday said, "We're getting spontaneous response from the patients, affected by cold diseases, through the service delivery activities in the flu ward with free of cost."

Dr Morshed said, "We could provide more service if the test for coronavirus could be conducted in Khulna."

"However, the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other necessary inputs will be available very soon for doctors, nurses and other health service providers as their complete safety while treating coronavirus infected patients at the isolation unit of the hospital," he added.
