The Ministry of Industries has asked its staff to stay connected with the office via their e-mails, text messages etc during the time of general holidays to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

All the heads of different offices and organisations of the ministry have also been asked to maintain communication with their respective departments.

In a directive, the ministry asked them to communicate with the secretary of the ministry and their sections concerned, in case of any necessity, via email, mobile or text message.

The directive asked the officials to stay home safely and not to go outside without necessity during the general holidays.

It also told them to follow the health directives provided by the IEDCR and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
