Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing observes China's mourning day

The government of China has observed three minutes of silence at 10 am on April 4 in a nationwide mourning to commemorate those who died in the fight against the novel coronavirus disease, Covid-19, outbreak. Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing stood in solidarity in mourning also observed three minutes of silence as a mark of respect at the Doyel Hall of the Embassy.
Bangladesh Ambassador to China Mahbub Uz Zaman read out the letter of condolence sent by Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen for China's State Councillor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
In the discussion meeting, the speakers mentioned that all countries may learn from the experience of China in containing the Covid-19 outbreak. China's contribution for Bangladesh in fighting the Covid-19 outbreak was mentioned with deep gratitude.
Present on the occasion were Ambassador Mahbub Uz Zaman, Embassy Deputy Chief Masudur Rahman, Defence Advisor Brigadier General S M Mahbubul Alam, Commercial Councilor Mohammad Mansur Uddin, First Secretary Khairul Basar and other officials of the Embassy staff.
